This place is magical it’s beautiful all the staff is super friendly and the food was delicious absolutely worth the stay here. It’s so beautiful definitely recommend it and it’s easy to get in and easy to get out. Overall the experience is amazing and great!

Paradise on earth, truly holistic with free yoga every morning, and sound baths or chanting pr breathwork in the evening.

I booked this hotel thru ******* and was looking forward to my stay in March of 2025. Unfortunately I had to cancel and did so within the advised time for a full refund. ******* says they have contacted the hotel and they have promised a refund but there has been no refund. I tried to pursue this directly with the Hotel as they charged the full amount to my credit card and never gave me a refund. I have been trying to get ahold of them for months and to no avail. Phone numbers dont work and online requests have gone unanswered since March. Book this one at your own risk.

We stayed here as a family of 5 with three young kids (under 12) for three nights, and found the place to be absolute perfection. The crystal clear waters, wonderful restaurant, friendly staff and immaculate grounds were just magical. It’s a place to come and unwind, in a peaceful setting. We swam, played cards, read books and connected. We paddle boarded and kayaked daily, explored the temple and admired the views from the top. We swam from dawn to dusk - watching the sun come up was a highlight! The rooms are clean and functional. We all shared one large room. Would recommend this place 100% - never been anywhere like it and we will return.

I went for a Wednesday night Kirtan (chanting mantras in Sanskrit) and really enjoyed it! What a beautiful practice in a beautiful location. They do this weekly, so I’ll be back anytime I’m in Bacalar. I’d highly recommend if you feel called!

Akalki is the perfect resort if you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation. The staff are so welcoming. One particular staff that stands out was Luis. Always greeting us with a warm welcoming smile.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place this is it! I am not into yoga but if you are then this is the place for you. The staff are courteous and very helpful and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. We stayed for 3 nights and never left the area. The Lagoon is absolutely gorgeous. I recommend taking the boat tour as Jami was very iformative and friendly.
